Treadmill Cardio & HIIT Routine

Just like it is important to have a well balanced diet, it is also important to have a well balanced work out regimen. Weight lifting and toning are just important as cardio. Cardio works out our heart and the heart is the most important muscle in our body! However, majority of us seem to despise and put off doing cardio as much as we can. Many of us think that cardio is long boring jogs that seem to have no end. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Below I have posted a fun treadmill cardio workout with lots of variety. If you don’t have access to a treadmill, you can see down below that I have also posted an equipment-free cardio HIIT routine.

Treadmill Routine

Cardio HIIT

30 Seconds of burpees, 15 second rest. 3 ROUNDS

30 seconds of squat jumps, 15 second rest. 3 ROUNDS

2 minutes of active rest! Don’t sit down. Walking around and have a sip of water. 

30 seconds of high knees, 15 second rest. 3 ROUNDS

30 second jumping jacks, 15 second rest.  3 ROUNDS

1 minute of active rest.

Cool down and stretch!
